- Words are chosen thoughtfully and for a specific purpose.
- The writing is detailed and descriptive.

- A variety of lengths and types of sentences are used to create a unique rhythm and sound to the writing.
- The story is organized in a clear and logical manner and there is care given to the organization of paragraphs.
